Carney was highly enthusiastic about the concert, judging the Samaagam Concerto for Sarod to be the highlight of the evening. She found the performance moving and unforgettable, largely because of the close musical rapport between Khan, his sons and tabla player Tanmoy Bose.
Harshest review
Symphony Hall, Atlanta, 15 September 2025
Ruhe gave a mixed review that praised Khan and his sons as fluent and masterful, and singled out the encore as a highlight. He was critical of the orchestra, feeling it was out of sync with the sarod soloists and that the concert never fully cohered musically or emotionally.

Pierre Ruhe's ArtsATL review of the Symphony Hall concert praised the Khan family soloists but found the orchestra out of step and the evening never fully cohered.

Emma Carney's glowing notice of Amjad Ali Khan's London concert singled out the Samaagam Concerto for Sarod and the close rapport between the performers on stage.
