About Annisokay

Pronounced Ann is okay, the German band from Halle in Saxony-Anhalt works in post-hardcore, a genre they have explored since forming in 2007. Before their debut album they had issued two demo CDs and their first EP, You, Always, in 2010, and that debut, The Lucid Dream[er], first came out through the band itself in 2012 before being reissued after SPV signed them in 2014. Its follow-up, Enigmatic Smile, reached no. 68 in the German albums chart in 2015.

The band toured Germany and shared bills with Silverstein, Callejon and Electric Callboy, playing Summer Breeze Open Air in 2014 and the Mair1 Festival in Montabaur. In 2015 they supported Callejon on their Wir sind Angst tour, and by the end of that year they counted 72 shows in nine countries. A drummer change followed when Daniel Herrmann parted ways with the band, and Nico Vaeen joined in June 2016. The 2016 covers EP Annie Are You Okay? reworked Beat It, Thriller, Scream and They Don't Care About Us, and that autumn the album Devil May Care was unveiled. They signed to Arising Empire in November 2017 and in early 2018 began work on a fourth studio album.
