About The Arrows
Few American groups have put fuzz at the centre of their identity as openly as The Arrows. The line-up of Davie Allan, Paul Johnson and David Winogrond has spent almost four decades returning to a raw, buzzing tone that its album titles wear proudly, from the sprawling name of its 1965 debut to the later Fuzz Fest. Listeners come for the grit and the unashamed playfulness of it.
The group's run began with Apache '65: C'Mon Do the Freddie Scratchy Twine Time in 1965, followed by Blues Theme in 1967 and Cycle-Delic Sounds in 1968. After a long gap, Arrow Dynamic arrived in 1985, and the 1990s brought Loud Loose and Savage in 1994 and Fuzz Fest in 1997. The Arrow Dynamic Sounds of Davie Allan and the Arrows followed in 1999, then FUZZ FOR THE HOLIDAYS in 2000 and Restless in L.A. in 2003, the most recent release listed here.
