About Babehoven
Hudson, New York, is where Babehoven now operates, though the project's centre of gravity is vocalist Maya Bon, whose path took her through Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, California before she settled in Hudson. Born as a trio, the American indie rock act has since narrowed to a duo, a change that reshapes who carries the songs. Bon remains the constant across a catalogue that began with compact EPs before the first full-length.
The early output came as a run of EPs: Sleep in 2018, Demonstrating Visible Differences of Height in 2020, and then Nastavi, Calliope. In 2022 the lineup changed, leaving Bon and Ryan Albert as a duo. They then announced their debut full-length, Light Moving Time, due for release on October 28 through Double Double Whammy, alongside a tour with Los Angeles-based indie folk musician Skullcrusher. A second studio album, Water's Here in You, arrived in 2024, and their third, I See Them, They See Me, was released on 18 September 2026.
