Bitchin Bajas

About Bitchin Bajas

Bitchin Bajas is an American act that takes its shape from Cooper Crain, who also plays guitar and organ in the Chicago band Cave. Alongside him are Dan Quinlivan and Rob Frye, and the project gives the trio room to pursue something separate from Crain's work in that group. For listeners curious about where his playing travels when it leaves Cave behind, it is a natural place to begin.

Their debut album, Tones & Zones, appeared in 2010 and marks the starting point of their recorded output. Since then the group has made records and played live with a range of collaborators, among them Natural Information Society, Bonnie Prince Billy and Olivia Wyatt. Several of these partnerships produced albums as well as live shows, showing how far the project reaches beyond its three core members. Their music has also been featured on a number of BBC Radio programmes.
