About Black Veil Brides
Few American rock bands have tied their image so closely to the 1980s as Black Veil Brides, who trace their roots to Cincinnati, Ohio, before settling in Hollywood, California. Their black makeup, body paint, studded clothing and long hair borrow openly from Kiss, Mötley Crüe and the wider glam metal scene, a visual language the band has made central to its identity. Andy Biersack's vocals sit at the heart of a dark, heavy rock sound, with Jinxx, Jake Pitts, Christian "CC" Coma and Lonny Eagleton completing the current line-up.
Their debut album, We Stitch These Wounds, came out in July 2010 and ranked No. 36 on the Billboard 200 while topping the Billboard Independent chart. Lava Records then signed the band, and Set the World on Fire followed in June 2011, its title track later heard in Transformers: Dark of the Moon after a planned place in Scream 4 fell through. The earlier single Knives and Pens, released in June 2009, spread quickly online thanks to its video, and in 2011 the band took Revolver's Golden Gods Award for Best New Artist.
