Blanke

Born John Paul Orchison on 16 December 1991, the Canberra producer and DJ known as Blanke makes electronic music that refuses to sit still. Alongside his main project he runs ÆON:MODE, a drum and bass outlet started in early 2021, which hints at how far his interests reach beyond a single lane.

His first release was a remix of Death Ray Shake for Ministry of Sound's Downright Music label in 2015, and a year later came the Black Mamba/Koji EP on Artist Intelligence Agency. His KLASH debut, the single Immunity, followed in 2017 alongside the Curiosity EP. In 2019 he worked with Rezz on Mixed Signals and with Illenium on Gorgeous, which appears on Illenium's album Ascend, and he then supported Illenium across North America. His Change & Decay: The Fall EP on Deadbeats Records in 2020 featured Alchemy, which reached number one on triple j's most played chart. In 2021 he debuted on Seven Lions' Ophelia Records and played Lost Lands and EDC Las Vegas.
