About The Blue Stones
Two people, one stage, and a blues rock sound rooted in Windsor, Ontario: that is the premise The Blue Stones have worked from since they started out. The Canadian duo pairs Tarek Jafar, who handles vocals, guitar, bass and keys, with Justin Tessier on percussion and backing vocals. Their music sits within the blues rock tradition, a lineage they have kept in view across four studio albums.
Their path to wider attention began with a 2018 deal with Entertainment One, which led to plans to re-release their debut LP Black Holes that October, followed by a US tour under the Be My Fire banner. A Juno nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year arrived in 2020. Second album Hidden Gems came out on 19 March 2021, co-written and produced by Mutemath frontman Paul Meany, and was preceded by five singles including Shakin' Off The Rust and Grim. Pretty Monster followed in November 2022 with Don't Miss and Good Ideas, earning a 2024 Juno nomination for Rock Album of the Year. Metro, the fourth studio album, was released on 28 March 2025, backed by Your Master, Kill Box and Come Apart.
