About Blues Pills

Blues Pills take their name from a friend's blog, BluesPillz, which catalogued obscure underground music of the 1960s and 1970s, and the Swedish rock band from Örebro have never strayed far from that lineage. Formed in 2011, they have since put out four studio albums, two EPs, three live albums and five singles, each one carrying the spirit of the blog that named them.

The story began in 2011 when step-brothers Zack Anderson and Cory Berry of Radio Moscow met singer Elin Larsson on tour in California, and two demos posted to YouTube led to a deal with Crusher Records. In July 2013 they signed to Nuclear Blast Records, and their self-titled debut album followed in July 2014, climbing to No. 4 in Germany and No. 10 in Switzerland. Lady in Gold was announced for release in August 2016, and Birthday, their latest studio album, came out in August 2024 through BMG.
