About Buray

Born Buray Hoşsöz on 15 June 1984, the Turkish Cypriot singer works in pop with a hands-on approach. On 'İstersen', the lead single from his debut album, he composed and arranged the music himself, while the lyrics came from Gözde Ançel. The result is a song built around a clear melodic line, and it shows why he is best understood as both a performer and a craftsman in the studio.

The track gathered airplay over time on radio and digital platforms, a slow build that rewarded patience, and it peaked at number one on the Türkçe Top 20. The second video, for 'Sen Sevda Mısın', went on to top Turkey's official music charts, followed by a video for 'Kimsenin Suçu Yok'. Two further albums followed, Sahiden in 2016 and Kehanet in 2018, with hits including 'Aşk mı Lazım', 'Aşk Bitsin', 'Deli Divane' and 'Kabahat Bende'.
