Chase Petra

Where alternative rock's broader textures meet pop punk's quick, hook-driven instincts, Chase Petra have built a catalogue that is easy to place and harder to pin down. The band, formed in 2017 in Long Beach, sets its sound under those two genre labels, and their releases so far suggest a group comfortable moving between the scale of a full album and the shorter statement of an EP. Nearly a decade on from their formation, that choice of format is as much a part of their identity as the songs themselves.

The story begins with Liminal, a full-length album released in 2019 and the first album in their discography. Three years later came the EP 4 o'clock in the afternoon, in 2022, followed in 2024 by The Petrichor Series Vol. 1, the opening instalment of a series. Lullabies for Dogs arrived as an album in 2025, and the most recent entry, the EP A Terrible Ennui, dates from 2026. Five releases in under a decade, each one a marker along a timeline that shows the band still working in public.
