About Danny Bryant
Born in 1980 and raised in Royston, Hertfordshire, the blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Danny Bryant took up the instrument at fourteen and was earning a living from it by eighteen. Since then his touring has carried him across the world, and his bills have included Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Joe Cocker and Mick Taylor.
The core of his working life has been Danny Bryant's RedEyeBand, which he founded with his father, Ken, who played bass. Alongside drummer Trevor Barr Superstar, the pair recorded and toured until Ken retired in July 2013. Bryant signed with the German-based Jazzhaus Records in 2011, releasing the live DVD and CD Night Life – Live in Holland on 17 September that year. His first studio album for the label, Hurricane, followed in 2013, and the band has since been billed simply as Danny Bryant. Temperature Rising arrived in 2014, preceded by a five-week tour of the US and Canada fronting Walter Trout's band while Trout recovered from liver transplant surgery, and followed by dates across the UK, Europe and China.
