About Deante Hitchcock

Before a record deal came his way, Deante Hitchcock had built a following one weekly freestyle at a time. The Riverdale, Georgia rapper, born in 1993, began performing at twelve in a group, and an uncle who co-wrote TLC's "No Scrubs" first introduced him to music. He later attended Georgia Southern University before leaving in his junior year to pursue a music career. He has been favourably compared to T.I. and J. Cole, and he names Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, André 3000 and 2Pac among his favourite rappers.

His mixtapes 19 Summers (2012), Wishful Thinking (2015) and Good (2016) built the audience, and weekly freestyles that year went viral and caught the attention of Wale. He signed to ByStorm, an RCA-affiliated label, in 2017, releasing the EP So Much for Good Luck that October, with GoldLink on "Wide Open". Thank You For Your Patience came in 2018, the year he toured with 6LACK. He was then invited to the Dreamville sessions for Revenge of the Dreamers III and appeared on "PTSD". His debut album, Better, arrived on 13 May 2020 with Young Nudy, Miguel and St. Beauty, and Everyday the 14TH followed in February 2022.
