Dust Bolt

Dust Bolt take the sound of classic Bay Area thrash and filter it through a German band's restless energy. Hailing from Landsberg am Lech in Bavaria, the group draws on Slayer and Kreator as well as crossover and hardcore-leaning passages, with melodic touches in both vocals and guitars. Their fast, aggressive material is matched by a reputation for energetic live shows.

The band began in 2007 as a school group called Die Letzten, playing punk covers before adopting its current name. Their demo Chaos Possession, released in 2010, earned a Demo of the Month accolade from Metal Hammer. In 2011 they won the German Metal Battle preliminaries, reaching the finals at Wacken Open Air. Debut Violent Demolition arrived via Napalm Records in 2012, and Awake the Riot in 2014 brought their breakthrough in German-speaking countries. Mass Confusion followed in 2016, Trapped in Chaos in 2019, and Sound & Fury, produced by frontman Lenny Bruce, came out in February 2024 on AFM Records.
