About Dylan Leblanc
Dylan LeBlanc learned his trade in the margins of other people's recording sessions. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he moved as a boy to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where his father was working as a country songwriter, and he spent late nights watching musicians record in the studios. Performing from the age of fifteen, he became an American singer-songwriter whose work draws on that closely observed upbringing around the music business.
His debut, Pauper's Field, appeared in early 2010 on Rough Trade Records, and its track "If the Creek Don't Rise" features Emmylou Harris. Touring behind it put him on bills with Lucinda Williams, The Civil Wars and George Ezra. His second album, Cast the Same Old Shadow, arrived in August 2012, and a Guardian critic found its songs at once lovely and bleak. Later he shared stages with Bruce Springsteen and Alabama Shakes. Cautionary Tale followed in January 2016 on Single Lock Records, and Renegade, his fourth studio album, came out on ATO Records in June 2019.
