Entheos

Entheos, an American progressive death metal group, draws on a pedigree that includes former members of Animosity, Animals as Leaders and The Faceless. Drummer Navene Koperweis, vocalist Chaney Crabb, bassist Evan Brewer and guitarist Frank Costa gathered in Santa Cruz, California, in early 2015. Crabb's audition video for the vacant singer's role in Veil of Maya went viral, giving the new group attention before it had released anything.

The band released the Primal EP in March 2015, posting it to Bandcamp beforehand, and their debut album The Infinite Nothing followed in April 2016. Costa left in November 2015, with Malcom Pugh stepping in, and Travis LeVrier, formerly of Scale the Summit, replaced Pugh in June 2016. Dark Future arrived on 10 November 2017 through Spinefarm Records, promoted by the single "The World Without Us". Brewer departed in 2019, and LeVrier left in 2020 as the band issued "Remember You Are Dust". Signed to Metal Blade Records in 2021, Entheos completed a third album in 2022, mixed by Mark Lewis, and toured with Archspire on the Tech Trek V run through mid-May, with Brian James and Robert Brown added on guitars for live shows.
