About Erika Vikman
Erika Vikman's route from the tango halls of Finland to the Eurovision stage has taken some unexpected turns. Born in Tampere in 1993, she first made her name in the tango world, winning Tangomarkkinat in 2016 and being crowned the Tango Queen of Finland. Her move towards electropop first showed on 'Ettei mee elämä hukkaan', the debut single she released with Sony Music, which found her experimenting more with the genre.
The turning point came with 'Cicciolina' in 2020, a song about the Hungarian-Italian actress Ilona Staller that carried her to second place at Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu despite the public favouring her more than the jury did. It became her first top five single in Finland, followed by 'Syntisten pöytä', which gave her a second top five hit and her first number one radio hit. Her self-titled debut album, released in August 2021, reached number one, and in 2025 she won the Finnish selection with 'Ich komme', finishing eleventh at the Eurovision Song Contest with 196 points.
