About Escape the Fate

Escape the Fate's story has been shaped by more upheaval than most American rock acts, though the band's roots lie in Pahrump, Nevada, before they formed in Las Vegas in 2004. Today the line-up is built around drummer Robert Ortiz, the only founding member still in the group, alongside vocalist Craig Mabbitt and guitarists Matti Hoffman and Erik Jensen.

Their debut EP, There's No Sympathy for the Dead, arrived in May 2006, and a local radio contest judged by My Chemical Romance had already won them a support slot. The full-length Dying Is Your Latest Fashion followed that September, but founding vocalist Ronnie Radke was later sentenced to prison and dismissed. Craig Mabbitt, formerly of Blessthefall, stepped in, and This War Is Ours debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard 200, selling 13,000 copies in its first week. A self-titled album in 2010 reached No. 25, the band's highest placement, and Ungrateful (2013) included "One for the Money", their highest-charting song on the US Mainstream Rock chart. Signed to John Feldmann's Big Noise label, they released their seventh album, Chemical Warfare, in 2021, followed by Out of the Shadows in 2023.
