About Finger Eleven
Finger Eleven took shape in Burlington, Ontario, in 1990, starting life as a high-school project before growing into a national rock act. Their sound leans on hard, angular guitar riffs and screamed vocals laid over repetitive rhythms, a combination that gave their work a bruising immediacy. The group's breakthrough came in 2000 with The Greyest of Blue Skies, and across eight studio albums, seven under the Finger Eleven name and one as Rainbow Butt Monkeys, they have kept that intensity intact.
Their self-titled 2003 album earned Gold status in the United States and Platinum in Canada, carried largely by "One Thing", which reached No. 16 on the US Hot 100, the band's first placing on that chart. Them vs. You vs. Me followed in 2007 and gave them "Paralyzer", which topped the Canadian Hot 100 and both US rock charts and reached No. 6 on the US Hot 100. The album brought a Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year in 2008. Life Turns Electric, released on 5 October 2010, earned a Juno nomination for Best Rock Album of the Year in 2011, and Five Crooked Lines was released in 2015.
