About Götz Frittrang
Götz Frittrang, born in Friedrichshafen in 1977, took a diploma in German studies, communication and English in Bamberg before turning to the stage, which he did first as host of the Bamberger Poetry Slam. He later moved on to organising and performing at the Bamberger Comedy Lounge, and that grounding in Bamberg's live scene led him to the cabaret work he does today.
He has also performed at the Lach- und Schießgesellschaft and Theater Drehleier in Munich, the Bockshorn in Würzburg, the Wühlmäuse in Berlin, NightWash in Cologne and the Orpheum in Vienna, and is a regular at the Quatsch Comedy Club in Berlin and Hamburg. In 2004 he won the Kabarett Kaktus at Munich's emerging-talent Kleinkunst festival, and in 2010 the Passauer Scharfrichterbeil. His solo programmes include Wahnvorstellung, issued on CD by WortArt in 2013, and Götzseidank, a CD from 2017. Later honours include the Reinheimer Satirelöwe audience prize in 2015, a special prize at the Deutscher Kabarettpreis in 2021 and the Kleinkunstpreis Baden-Württemberg in 2022.
