Halocene

Halocene is an American rock trio whose profile is shaped by a dispute with a television format. The band's cover of Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy", released on its YouTube channel, included original melodies from an unreleased song of its own. In October 2019, the band claimed that The Masked Singer Australia, which premiered on Network 10 that September, had taken its arrangement "note for note, beat for beat" for a performance by Kate Ceberano as the Lion in the show's third episode. Halocene threatened legal action and set up a GoFundMe page, which drew support from its fans.
