Holy Wars

Holy Wars is a United States act whose catalogue is best traced through its releases rather than any single defining moment. Formed in 2013, the project is fronted by Kat Leon and Nicolas Perez, and it has built its profile one short format at a time, with EPs forming much of the discography. Read in order, the output shows a band that has worked steadily in compact bursts. For a listener arriving now, the most useful starting point is 2022, the year the group put out more material than in any other year on the list.

The earliest release listed is Mother, an EP from 2016, followed in 2017 by Mother Father, also an EP. The output then accelerated: 2022 alone brought BATTERY LIFE, the album EAT IT UP SPIT IT OUT and 21ST CENTURY BITCH, three releases in a single year. Cult Classic arrived as an EP in 2023, and the most recent entry is Shadow Work / Light Work, an album from 2026.
