Infected Rain

Infected Rain have built a heavy metal sound around female screaming, hard riffs and electronic samples, a combination the group credits with shaping its individual style. Formed in Chișinău in 2008 and signed to Napalm Records, the Moldovan band relies on guitarist Vadim "Vidick" Ojog, who composes most of the music, while vocalist Elena "Lena Scissorhands" Cataraga writes the English lyrics. Her tattoos and strong vocals have drawn notice, and local media have called her the most eccentric vocalist in Moldova.

They debuted in August 2008 at a concert dedicated to Slayer, then played Crimea's Red Alert festival and recorded a three-song demo. A six-track EP, ЕР2009, followed in summer 2009, and their first video, for "Judgemental Trap", was shot in winter 2010. Their debut full-length, Asylum, arrived on 25 November 2011, and in June 2012 they shared a stage with Mötley Crüe and Dimmu Borgir. Embrace Eternity came out on 15 May 2014, and 86 followed in April 2017. In May 2023 the Babich brothers left the line-up, with Alice Lane joining on bass, and the latest album, TIME, was released on 9 February 2024.
