About Iskander Moon

Born Iskander Moens in Zelzate in 2000, Iskander Moon is a Belgian multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter whose music draws mainly on pop and folk. He grew up in the East Flemish town before spending several years in larger cities, New York and Berlin among them, where he made his name as a live artist. Playing a range of instruments himself, he writes songs that sit between those two traditions.

His debut EP, Are You Lost Here?, came out in April 2024. It was followed in February 2026 by the full-length album Salt Moon City, which took him into the Ultratop 200 Albums chart in Belgium. Moon has also written the music for Chérie, a documentary about the life of Eddy Wally. Scoring a film about another figure's life is a different task from writing his own songs, and it adds a further strand to a young career.
