Islandman

Step into an Islandman set and the line between a rite and a club night blurs quickly. The Turkish trio, built around Tolga Böyük's original idea, draw on ambient, electronic and electronica, letting psychedelic guitar from Erdem Başer and the unhurried percussion of Eralp Güven meet in a space where acoustic instruments and synthesised textures share the same breath. Their shows can turn reflective, then pulse toward the floor, and the room is rarely a passive one.

The catalogue runs steadily from the EP Agit in 2016 through Rest in Space (2017), Kaybola (2019) and Godless Ceremony (2021). The Bahar EP followed in 2022, and 2023 brought two albums, Direct-to-Disc Sessions and Popsicle Obstacle. Their most recent release is the album Island5, from 2025. Taken together, the releases show a steady output across almost a decade, with the trio's name attached to every one.
