Jake's Leg

Few acts have kept a single songbook in rotation for as long as Jake's Leg. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, the band has spent the past four decades exploring the music of the Grateful Dead, working through the Dead's repertoire. Formed in 1976 and described as nationally known, the United States act has built its identity around that single sustained focus, and it has kept that focus through every change of personnel.

Founding members Tim Fahy and Randy Furrer have been with the group since 1976. Joe Trunko joined in 1990, Bill Noltkamper in 1991 and Ryan Wilhite in 2005. Former members Ahzad Bogosian, Dave Casper, Sean Linehan and Nick Romanoff complete the roll call. The story is one of continuity: a core line-up that has stayed largely intact while players around it have come and gone, and a repertoire revisited across 43 years of performing.
