About Jason Ross
Based in Los Angeles, Jason Ross makes melodic bass, trance and progressive house, and his remixes have carried his name to Above & Beyond, Seven Lions, Illenium, SLANDER and Gryffin. His path into dance music started in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he had trained as a classical and jazz musician. Around the age of twelve, ATB's "9PM (Till I Come)" and Darude's "Sandstorm" pulled him towards electronic sound, and before he reached his teens he had bought the eJay software and produced a first electronic album.
His first original release, "Nightfall", came out on Darren Tate's Mondo Records in 2013. A year later Above & Beyond signed him to their Anjunabeats imprint, the label's first signing in two years, and their comment in the 2014 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll named him breakthrough DJ and producer of the year. Ross and Wrechiski's "Atlas" made its debut at Madison Square Garden during the Above & Beyond Group Therapy 100 event, and on January 26, 2015 it reached number one on Beatport's trance chart. His debut album, 1000 Faces, arrived on January 24, 2020.
