Jay-Z

Shawn Corey Carter, better known as Jay-Z, has built a career as rapper, businessman and record executive, with an East Coast sensibility running through all of it. His lyricism is dense with double meanings, wordplay and swagger, driven by a story of rising from poverty to wealth. Billboard and Vibe both placed him top of their 2023 rankings of rappers, while Forbes calls him music's richest artist.
