Jeff and Sheri Easter

Jeff Easter and Sheri Williamson first crossed paths in August 1984 at the Albert E. Brumley Sundown to Sunup Gospel Sing in Arkansas, when he was playing bass for the Singing Americans and she was singing with The Lewis Family. That meeting set in motion a partnership that now anchors a family group rooted in Southern gospel. Jeff is the son of James Easter, a member of The Easter Brothers from Mount Airy, North Carolina, and brother of steel guitarist Steve "Rabbit" Easter, so the tradition runs deep on his side of the family.

They married in June 1985, ten months after that first meeting, and kept touring with The Lewis Family until 1988, when they chose to pursue a career on their own. Since then they have released several albums and received various award nominations. Their children now share the stage: Madison plays guitars and Morgan sings, while daughter Maura joins in various roles, and Madison's wife Shannon Easter and Morgan's husband Landan Smith are also members. The group has also been a frequent presence on the Gaither Homecoming videos and recordings.
