About Jim E. Brown
Born on 10 September 2001 in Didsbury, Manchester, Jim E. Brown is a singer-songwriter whose work is filed under comedy, a pairing that tells you early where his material sits. Rather than presenting itself as sincere balladry, the catalogue leans on blunt, self-mocking titles, and those titles do much of the work of setting its tone.
The output has been steady. Broken and Jim E. Brown Sings His Love Songs arrived in 2021, and 2022 brought the Songs for the Festive Season and I Drank From a Puddle EPs alongside the album NAUSEA. In 2023 came Rot, Torture and This is Jim E. Brown, while 2024 added The Very Best of Jim E. Brown, Shame, THE SKY IS UGLY and the live album Live at Triangle House. More recently, I Urinated on a Butterfly and the I Wish I Didn't Like You EP appeared in 2025, followed by Dawn of a New Man and Dirt in 2026, sixteen releases in all.
