About Joshua Radin
Few singer-songwriters find their way into a television series through a college friend, yet that is how Joshua Radin's first song reached the screen. Born in 1974 and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, to a Jewish family of Polish, German, Austrian and Russian background, he studied drawing and painting at Northwestern University and worked as an art teacher, screenwriter and gallery employee before turning to music. A move to New York, a guitar from his father and self-teaching set him on that path. Rolling Stone praised his "whispery, silver-bell voice", a fit for songs the magazine called poignant and refreshingly frank.
His debut, We Were Here, appeared on Columbia Records in May 2006 and included Ryan Adams on guitar for "Lovely Tonight". Simple Times followed in 2008, going straight to No. 1 on the iTunes overall chart, and its single "I'd Rather Be with You" reached No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart. Later records include The Rock and The Tide (2010), Here, Right Now (2019) for Nettwerk Music Group, and The Ghost and The Wall (2021), recorded remotely during the early pandemic. ONE DAY, HOME arrived on 14 February 2025 as a self-released tenth album.
