About Jungle
Hiding their faces was never the point for Jungle, the London project built by producers Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, friends since childhood in Shepherd's Bush. Formed in early 2013, the pair put their energy into artwork and videos instead, becoming known simply as J and T. Their signature is the one-shot dance video, which Lloyd-Watson co-directs alongside a recurring group of dancers. Live, the music expanded into a seven-piece band that rejects simply re-producing laptop tracks, opting instead for a full and organic experience.
Their 2014 debut, Jungle, was released through XL Recordings and shortlisted for the Mercury Prize that September, while Busy Earnin' placed number 67 in Australia's Triple J Hottest 100. Festival appearances followed at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, and Bonnaroo, and For Ever arrived in 2018. Loving in Stereo and Volcano came out on their own label, Caiola Records, with Volcano accompanied by a film of its videos. Lydia Kitto became a full-time member in late 2023, and the fifth studio album, Sunshine, followed.
