Katelyn Tarver

Few performers have moved between sitcom sets and songwriting rooms as readily as Katelyn Tarver, an American actress and singer-songwriter. Her screen work began as Jo Taylor in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush, then took in roles in No Ordinary Family, The Secret Life of the American Teenager and HBO's Ballers. Since 2011 she has released her own music as independent EPs, and she has also written for others, most notably co-writing Cheryl's Crazy Stupid Love, which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 2014.

Her debut EP, A Little More Free, arrived in June 2011, produced by Matt Grabe, and she supported Honor Society before touring with The Cab and Parachute. Tired Eyes followed in March 2017, and its song You Don't Know spread on YouTube to more than 50 million views by mid-2021. Kool Aid came out in 2018, followed by Kool Aid: Sugar Free (Acoustic) in 2019. In 2021 she launched the side-project REAVES with Will Anderson, and in 2025 she was announced for the In Real Life Worldwide Tour alongside her former Big Time Rush castmates.
