Koffin Kats

Few corners of the Metro Detroit scene sound quite like the Koffin Kats, a band that fuses punk attack with the slap-backed swagger of psychobilly. Based in the Detroit area of Michigan, the group was formed in June 2003 and has spent the years since working within a sound that bridges punk and rockabilly.

The band's album Koffin Kats appeared in 2003, the year the group formed, and was followed by Inhumane in 2005 and Straying From the Pack a year later. Drunk in the Daylight (2008) and Forever for Hire (2009) came next, then the From Our Hands to Yours EP in 2011, which led into Our Way & The Highway in 2012 and Born of the Motor in 2013. Party Time in the End Times arrived in 2017, and the most recent entry in the catalogue, Higher Lows, came out in 2024, bringing the total to ten releases across over two decades of work.
