About The Last Dinner Party

Born from the notion of a huge, debauched banquet, The Last Dinner Party are a British-Australian rock band from London. Abigail Morris, Lizzie Mayland, Emily Roberts, Georgia Davies and Aurora Nishevci make up the line-up, though they have no permanent drummer. Morris, Davies and Mayland met in 2018 during Freshers' Week at King's College London, and gigs at The Windmill, surrounded by bands such as Black Midi and HMLTD, pushed them to form a band.

Island Records signed them before their debut single, "Nothing Matters", reached the UK top 20 in April 2023. A Rising Star Brit Award came in December 2023, followed by the BBC Sound of 2024 poll. Debut album Prelude to Ecstasy, released on 2 February 2024, entered the UK Albums Chart at number one with the biggest first-week sales for a debut in over nine years, and earned a Mercury Prize nomination. Second album From the Pyre arrived on 17 October 2025 and peaked at number two. In April 2026, Georgia Davies revealed she had broken her back in a fall, ruling her out of the 2026 tour while Max Lilley deputised on bass.
