About Laura Mvula

Laura Mvula is a singer from Birmingham whose music grew out of a varied apprenticeship in choirs and ensembles, from a cappella and gospel to jazz and neo-soul, alongside a classical training. Her voice found a wider audience in 2012, when she signed to RCA Records and released the EP She, which drew critical acclaim.
