Loco Dice

Yassine Ben Achour, the producer and DJ known as Loco Dice, has built his reputation on a journey that took him from hip hop nights in Düsseldorf to the rooms of Ibiza. Born on 10 August 1974 to Tunisian parents who had moved to Germany, he was raised in the city where he still lives and works. His sound now sits in house and tech house.

He began as a rapper and hip hop DJ, holding a residency at the local club Salon des Amateurs and opening for acts including Usher, Ice Cube, Jamiroquai, Snoop Dogg and R. Kelly. A summer in Ibiza in 2002, and encouragement from Timo Maas and Sven Vath, pushed him towards house and techno. He has since released on labels including Cocoon and Ovum, and runs his own imprint, Desolat. He compiled and mixed Time Warp 07, a double CD of minimal tracks. He now splits his Ibiza summers between Pacha and Hi Ibiza. He has also written runway soundtracks for the Argentine-Italian designer Marcelo Burlon during Milan Men's Fashion Week, for the FW2020 and SS2020 seasons.
