About Lost Society
Lost Society began as a fast, raw thrash act, and the Finnish band's story is one of steady change. Formed in Jyväskylä in 2010, they built their early records around partying and drinking. Since then the sound has absorbed groove metal, metalcore and nu metal, and by No Absolution, their fourth album, thrash had been left behind entirely.
The band won the Finnish qualifier for Nuclear Blast's 2012 Global Battle of the Bands and travelled to London for the finals. Their debut, Fast Loud Death, followed in 2013, and later that year they toured with Children of Bodom. Terror Hungry reached number six on the Finnish chart in 2014, and Braindead rose to number three in 2016. In December 2015 they played Hartwall Arena alongside Slayer and Anthrax. Drummer Taz Fagerström, formerly of Santa Cruz, joined in 2020 as No Absolution reached number four, and the sixth album, Hell Is a State of Mind, came out in March 2026.
