About Lostalone

Few British rock bands from Derby have built such an appetite for big gestures as LostAlone. Formed in 2005, the band today comprises Steven Battelle on lead vocals and guitar, Alan Williamson on bass and backing vocals, and Mark Gibson on drums and percussion. Their music leans on bombast, dirty riffs and soaring ballads, and reviewers have picked up on their Queen-style harmonies and classic metal bite.

Their debut, Say No to the World, appeared in March 2007 and spawned the singles Blood is Sharp, Unleash the Sands of All Time and Elysium. Signing to Sire Records in late 2009 led to I'm a UFO in This City, recorded in Los Angeles with Jacknife Lee and Greg Wells and released in 2012 on Graphite Records. Kerrang! named it the 29th best album of that year. Shapes of Screams followed in April 2014 with a 5/5 review from Kerrang!, but the band announced their split that October. Their most recent album, The Warring Twenties, came out on 30 September 2022, months after their stadium shows with My Chemical Romance.
