About Louise

Long before she became a fixture of British television, Louise was the singer and dancer at the heart of Eternal, the R&B girl group that formed in 1992 and debuted in 1993 with the quadruple-platinum album Always & Forever. Born Louise Elizabeth Nurding in Lewisham, she won a scholarship to the Italia Conti Academy at eleven, a grounding that served her well across music and television. Her career has since spanned pop, presenting and memoir writing, and she has sold over 15 million records worldwide.

Her solo career began in 1995 when she left Eternal and signed with EMI. The orchestral ballad "Light of My Life" reached number eight, but "Naked" became her biggest hit at number five and carried the 1996 album of the same title to number seven, later certified Platinum. Woman in Me followed in 1997, peaking at number five in the UK, with "Arms Around the World" reaching number four. After a long break from recording she returned with Heavy Love in 2020, then released Greatest Hits in June 2023, pairing reimagined older singles with five new songs, and her fifth studio album, Confessions, came out in May 2025.
