About Love Shop
Love Shop built their reputation in Denmark on a set of songs that remain their calling card. Vocalist and songwriter Jens Unmack and guitarist and producer Hilmer Hassig formed the Danish pop rock band in 1986, and harmonicist Henrik Hall joined later. Among their best-known tracks are "En nat bliver det sommer", "Love Goes On Forever" and "Copenhagen Dreaming".
Their debut album, 1990, went on to win the Danish Grammy for Pop Album of the Year, and the 1997 album Go! followed. In 2004 the band announced an indefinite hiatus after internal disputes. Hilmer Hassig was killed in a traffic accident in 2008, and following two tribute concerts in his honour, the remaining members reunited to release Frelsens hær in 2010. Henrik Hall died of cancer in 2011. Unmack has since continued performing and releasing new material as the only official member, and the band received the IFPI's Honorary Award at the 2009 Danish Music Awards.
