About Ohrenfeindt
Ohrenfeindt is a rock band from Hamburg, formed in December 1994 and shaped from the start by Chris Laut, who sings, plays bass and adds harmonica. Through a run of line-up changes, Laut has been the one constant, guiding the group through successive guitarists and drummers while its style stayed rooted in straightforward rock played for audiences who want to hear it loud.
Their debut, Schmutzige Liebe, appeared in September 2003, recorded at the studio of Sebastian Meyer, better known as Pothead. The second album, Rock'n'Roll Sexgott, followed in January 2006, and a third, Mit Vollgas & Blaulicht, in November 2007. The band built its profile on club and larger stages, supporting acts including Rose Tattoo, Popa Chubby, Torfrock, The Sweet, Die Toten Hosen, In Extremo and Nazareth. Schwarz auf Weiss entered the German album chart at number 53 in 2011, and the fifth album, Auf die Fresse ist umsonst, on AFM Records, entered at number 35 in 2013. Motor An!, Zwei Fäuste für Rock'n'Roll and Tanz nackt followed in 2015, 2017 and 2018, and the band marked its 25th anniversary in 2019 with the double album Halbzeit! - Lebenslänglich Rock.
