About Pi'erre Bourne

Pi'erre Bourne, born Jordan Timothy Jenks, is best known as a producer, though he also raps, sings and writes. Raised in Columbia, South Carolina, he spent summers with his grandmother in South Jamaica, Queens, and that exposure fed an early interest in East Coast hip hop. Pitchfork's Alphonse Pierre described his beats as light, airy game-like melodies laid over traditional trap percussion. His spoken producer tag, lifted from an episode of The Jamie Foxx Show, has become a signature of its own.

Breakthrough came through Playboi Carti. Jenks met the rapper in February 2017, after Carti recorded a demo over his instrumental 'Wokeuplikethis', and 'Magnolia', which he produced that March, peaked at 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. Gummo, his production for 6ix9ine, also reached the top 30 that year. He signed with Interscope Records in September 2017 and launched his own imprint, SossHouse. Later highlights include Travis Scott's 'Watch' in 2018, the Sli'merre mixtape with Young Nudy in 2019, and a Grammy for his work on Jesus Is King. More recently, he released Good Movie in 2022 and Made in Paris in June 2025.
