About Pietro Basile

Pietro Basile, born in 1989, is a German-Italian singer-songwriter who has built his career in Germany while writing in both Italian and German. His early work grew out of a partnership with the producer Simon Blaze, with whom he began shaping songs in 2007. Titles such as "Viva l'amore" and "Grande Amore" suggest where his attention usually lies, with romance at the centre of a bilingual catalogue.

His breakthrough came with the German-Italian single "Scusami", which went viral and was streamed several million times on YouTube. A record deal with TeeAge-Beatz followed in 2009, the year of his first compilation, Io canto, and a European tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2019 he joined Alana Productions and worked on his debut album with Ivo Moring and Mirko von Schlieffen, a former member of Schiller. Later releases include the duet "Ich liebe nur dich" with Sarah Engels, the collaboration "Canto Per Te" with DJ Herzbeat and, in 2023, "Grande Amore" with Luna Farina.
