About Polyrhythmics

Seattle's Polyrhythmics draw on funk, soul and instrumental music, and the groove sits at the centre of what they do. Formed in 2010, the band has seven members: Benjamin Alexander Bloom, Art Brown, Elijah Clark, Jason Gray, Scott Morning, Grant Schroff and Nathan Lee Spicer. Their sound rests on the interplay within that line-up, and the catalogue moves between shorter EPs and full-length albums.

The group's self-titled EP appeared in 2010, the year it was formed. Libra Stripes followed as an album in 2013, then Octagon in 2015 and Caldera in 2017. The year 2020 brought both the album Man From the Future and the EP Fondue Party, and in 2021 came Stu's Picks Volume 1. Filter System arrived in 2023 and, most recently, Life from Below in 2025. No tours, chart placings or awards are recorded here, so the catalogue itself carries the story of a steady run of releases.
