About Poul Krebs

Poul Krebs, born in 1956, is a Danish pop and rock singer, songwriter and musician with 23 albums and compilations behind him, several topping the Danish Albums Chart. Raised in Aarhus, where he once played handball for IK Skovbakken's main team, he fronted his own covering band as a youth before writing his own songs. His music sits in the pop and rock tradition, and his willingness to sing in both English and Danish has kept him a regular on the country's biggest festival bills.

His main studio album, Fri som et forår, came out in 1990, produced by the English producer Greg Walsh. The breakthrough came in 1995 with Små Sentationer and its single 'Sådan nogle som os'. He has sung as one of De Tre Tenorer with Steffen Brandt and Michael Falch, and with close friend Falch he toured and released joint albums under their label, Krebs Falch. His touring has taken him to Norway, Greenland, France and the United States, and he has given charity concerts for Kosovo victims and the Danish Refugee Council. In 2014 he featured on season four of Toppen af Poppen on TV 2.
