About Random Hand

Blending ska, reggae, metal, hip hop and dub with punk rock, Random Hand have built a sound that refuses to sit still. Formed in Keighley in 2002, the British band is most often placed within the punk subculture, a link reinforced by their ethics and by lyrics with a sociopolitical bent. Their records and shows move freely between those influences.

Their first show came on 31 December 2002, in a friend's basement in Haworth, and their debut EP, On The March, followed. The album Change of Plan arrived on Riot Music in May 2007, and a second record, Inhale/Exhale, came out on Rebel Alliance Records in February 2009. The third album, Seething Is Believing, was released on Bomber Music in March 2011. After Matthew Crosher was asked to leave in 2012, the band announced an indefinite hiatus, and their final album, Hit Reset, became available to download for donors on 13 September 2015. They closed their live career with a sell-out gig at the Camden Underworld.
