About Razorlight
Razorlight began in London in 2002 as the project of Johnny Borrell, who had been performing across the capital as a solo acoustic singer-songwriter before forming a group around himself. Borrell is the only permanent member through the band's many line-up changes, and the current line-up includes the Swedish-born guitarist Björn Ågren and bassist Carl Dalemo, both founding members. Their indie rock sound is most associated with the singles that made them known, among them Golden Touch, Somewhere Else and In the Morning.
A bidding war then led them to Mercury Records, and their debut Up All Night reached number 3 in the UK album chart in 2004. Their second, self-titled album debuted at number 1 in July 2006, carried by In the Morning and America, the latter reaching number 1 as a single. The band split in 2014, reformed in 2017, and released Olympus Sleeping in 2018.
