About The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Childhood friends Ronnie Winter and Duke Kitchens began writing together during an AP Music Theory class in 2001, and two years later the group took shape in Middleburg, Florida, once musicians from other local bands had joined them. The American rock band's name came from an unusual vote, with members choosing from random words they had thrown at a wall. Its current line-up pairs Ronnie Winter's lead vocals with K Enagonio's unclean vocals, and the band has since released six studio albums.

Their major-label debut, Don't You Fake It, arrived in 2006 on Virgin Records, and its lead single, Face Down, became the band's biggest success, with False Pretense and Your Guardian Angel following as successful follow-ups. The album's singles have also received awards from various institutions, and it remains the only one of their albums certified by the RIAA. In 2007 the band headlined the Take Action Tour, which campaigned against youth suicide, alongside My Chemical Romance and Rise Against. Their second album, Lonely Road, debuted at number fourteen on the Billboard 200 in February, produced by Howard Benson.
