About Robert Mizzell

Few country singers arrive at the genre by way of a Louisiana birth, an American army career and a move across the Atlantic, but that is the route Robert Mizzell took. Born on 21 July 1971 in Shreveport, he left the United States after completing his service with the U.S. Army and relocated to Ireland in the early 1990s. He settled in Mullingar, County Westmeath, and built his reputation as a singer of both country and Irish material, a blend that sits at the centre of his work.

He was a member of The Three Amigos with Jimmy Buckley and Patrick Feeney. Gary Gamble replaced Buckley in the line-up in 2026. Mizzell's profile widened on 15 April 2022, when he appeared on The Late Late Show, and on 28 September 2025, when he sang the U.S. National Anthem at Croke Park before the NFL game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
